Walking In Freedom

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1John 1:9 (KJV)

Do you know that nowhere in the Bible does it say anything about forgiving ourselves? It is not possible to say, will you forgive me to ourselves. Instead of saying we need to forgive ourselves, we need to stop condemning ourselves. Did you know that to walk in condemnation is sin? It is not trusting God. The devil wants to keep us bound, but God wants us to walk in liberty and freedom. He is faithful and will forgive us of our sins if we confess them. When we do this, He promises to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. It doesn’t matter what sin we have committed; it doesn’t matter if we have done the most heinous crime. God forgives all sin except for blaspheme against the Holy Spirit. As we accept God’s forgiveness, He enables us to forgive whatever trespasses have been done against us. I remember when my husband and I forgave the man that murdered my brother-in-law. My husband speaks to him to this day. God died on the cross to forgive us of every sin that we have committed and will ever commit. We must believe when we repent that God has forgiven us and not allow nagging thoughts to condemn us. We must stand on this scripture and many others.  As we speak them, God will lead us to confession, prayer and personal application of His Words to our lives.

“Lord, thank You for forgiving all my sins. I choose to be in right standing with You. I choose freedom instead of condemnation.”
