Step Away From The Shelter

MP900438647[1]“Those who try to hold onto their lives will give up true life. Those who give up their lives for me will hold onto true life.” Matthew 10:39 (NCV)

What’s the one thing that means everything? The place where the most time is spent.  The place where the focus is measured. That is where our treasure lies. The main focus should be on the Lord. Many times it’s on anything but. How much time is spent in prayer? How much time is spent in God’s word? Are the words spoken honoring and glorifying to the Lord?

Many of us will say we lack in our quiet and sharing time. We will say life gets busy with our jobs, our families, and our fill in the blank. A powerful memory from the movie “God’s not dead” from the mom with dementia is

“Many times Satan lets us have everything and not feel the pain, because we have placed ourselves in jail cells. The door is wide open, but we choose not to exit the cell because life is too good. Until, time runs out and the door slams shut.”

Don’t let the door slam shut on your life. Don’t miss out on what God has in store for your life. Step away from the comfortable shelter. Offer your lives to Him to use however he wants. Give him your one thing, give him your treasure, He in turn with give you more to share with others.

“Father, use me for your glory. Help me to rely on you and focus my time and talent to further your kingdom.”

For His Glory,
