Living In Peace

CB Devo Dec 4“They don’t know how to live in peace.” Roman 3:17(CEV)

Peace equals believing in God, so we can’t stop believing if we want to have peace. In the midst of our largest storms, He is there. He wants to carry us, and we don’t have to face the storm alone. We may choose to face it alone, but that is not God’s intention for us. If we face it on our own, it’s only because we don’t take the time to talk to God about it and give Him the time to give us direction. The second part is the hardest. It’s easy to say God here is the problem, please solve it. However, waiting for his answer and direction is where we tend to grow impatient. We tend to grow anxious and try to fix it ourselves – that is not His plan. He wants us to enjoy His presence, learn from the storm, praise Him in the storm and let him comfort us thru the storm. Life would be so different if we chose to live in His presence and enjoy each interruption, difficulty and blessing the first time avoiding the same mistakes (decisions) over and over again. What will it take for us to focus on God the first time? The rainbow of peace is waiting.

“Father I want to bask in your peace. I want to glorify you in each step I make. Thank you for carrying me thru the tough times. I praise you for storms in my life.”

For His Glory,
