Have you ever been rudely interrupted in the middle of a conversation where you had something really good to share? Sometimes we do that in our prayer life with God. We can be in a hurry to get things done and abruptly cut off communication from our Heavenly Father.  In our prayers, we need to have moments of silence and meditate on God’s holiness. We must believe that He hears our prayers. When we do, we will not be in a rush to commune with God. We don’t want to miss out on His words to us or even how He can comfort us. We need to stay in His presence until we have truly felt comforted by God’s love. Sometimes we don’t allow our tears to flow. Sometimes God wants to break down our walls, but we don’t give Him a chance. When we’re in the presence of God, our hearts can be truly tender before Him. It is beautiful when we come to Him with burdens or a broken heart, and we allow the tears to flow. God is so ready to comfort us. He is so ready to show His love and speak to us tenderly. He is so ready to heal our hurts and wounds. Don’t walk away from God – stay until you have peace and know you have spent quality time with Him. Let’s make sure we are not interrupting God in our prayers. Let’s give Him a chance to minister to us.

“Father, thank you that you are so patient with us and that you love us so much that you are willing to minister to us. Help us to wait on You until we know that You have truly communed with us, and we with You.”
