Sharing His Love

MP900443495[1]“Proclaim the message; persist in it whether convenient or not; rebuke, correct, and encourage with great patience and teaching.”  2 Timothy 4:2  (HCSB)

When we least expect it, God often offers us a chance to minister to someone. We may be really busy or feel that we’re not ready.  We may feel inadequate or just don’t feel like ministering, yet God spoke to us. Recently a friend of mine called me to minister to someone I had never met. I was ready and willing to go; what a blessing. The person I was ministering to was in tears because she had gotten caught shoplifting. I immediately put my arms around her and shared passages in the scripture to show her that God forgave her and that He loved her. I showed her passages about repentance and condemnation. I was persistent and prayed with her. I even took her to church and began mentoring her. This lady needed encouragement. She needed someone to be patient with her, teach her the scriptures and show her love. When God calls us to do something, we need to be ready and not fear. He is with us, and God will guide us and put words in our mouth. He will lead us by His Spirit. Not only was this lady helped, but I was strengthened by the Lord. What a blessing to see a soul come back to the Lord. We never know what the Lord will do through us when we are instant in season and out of season.

“Lord, help me to proclaim Your message; help me to be instant in season and out of season. I choose to trust You. Help me to rebuke, correct and encourage with great patience and humility. Thank You for the opportunities of being used by You. May You be glorified.”

For His Glory

Wow! That is such a beautiful testimony, yet great example of service. That touched my heart girl, you are blessed. Like you said about blessing, their blessings becomes a blessing for you as well. And that is why God bless us, that we might bless others, to serve in the greatest measure of love that He as given us at this point in our journey. As a loyal obedient servant, He will give us a greater measure as time goes by. Matthew 6:33 says; Seek ye first the kingdom of God and all these things shall be added to you. Keep up the God work girl and by God you will do great and mighty things.

When given the opportunity I encourage you to read the post I wrote on service, I believe you will love it.

    Let it rain!

Thank you very much for the encouragement once more. The story gets better. This dear lady whom I am mentoring now is on fire for God. She doesn’t miss services at church. I want to take her to the juvenille detention center where I minister so she can share her testimony. All her family sees a big change in her. She was so repentful of what she did. She spent two days in jail, first time ever. I praise God for what He is doing in her life. I will read your writings. Thank you once more. Blessings, Linda

        Blessings,

Wow! That is awesome and that is why God has given us all a testimony, to bring Him glory, and to help other people that it may draw them closer to Him. Hallelujah! This is the day, this is the day, this is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it. Praise God! The angels in heaven are rejoicing as I pen these words. Glory to the Most High God.

        God bless,

I’m with you. I love to share fresh testimonies. Old testimonies are good, but when we allow the Holy Spirit to take over our lives we will have weekly or even daily testimonies. I see God at work EVERYDAY!! Just the fact that I get out of bed every morning and have something to praise him for, something to rejoice about, something to be thankful for all day long is something to testify about. He brought me out of severe depression 10 years ago. The verse you quoted is the verse I say when I get ou of bed. This is the day that the Lord hath made, I SHALL (a choice) rejoice and be glad in it. Blessings Linda
